Ok this is a huge gripe of mine. Why is it that we make life long friends in bingo sites but yet we can't give out our messenger or email addy's? What is everyone afraid of? That we might communicate with each other and find out what's really going on????
Or maybe Mgmnt at some of these sites to be named later are afraid we might be onto them?
Fight back and fight for your friends! Let NO ONE tell you who you can or cannot talk to! [-X

Welcome to BPU Plyr!!! You have raised a very interesting question. I can only give you my opinion as I have no proof. I think it may be a form of risk management. I believe the sites do this to keep players from corresponding with one another for one reason or another. These players are grown people! If they want to share their email addresses they should be able to do so.

I will be willing to bet that a huge percentage of players who play online bingo have been at other sites. Therefore talking about them doesn't seem to me it would do any harm. If a site has happy players, another players suggesting going to a different site probably wouldn't cost this site any players at all.

People choose their "bingo homes" and it is hard to shake them even with overwhelming proof the site they are playing at is corrupt within!

It is also my opinion that if players want to transfer their personal email address by means of private messenger or through support, that should be an option for them. I can see how the site would or could be considered liable for emails posted by players in chat, but the reality of it is.. what are the players going to be able to do to the sites if it does happen? NOTHING!! they are out of the reach of the laws of the USA.

Some sites want USA $$$$$ but want to do nothing for USA players, because they know we can do nothing legally to them.

Telling players and/or hosts who they can or cannot talk to on their own time in their own space is ridicules and blatantly displays insecurities on the sites part! And anyone who agrees to this rule must not live in the USA! We have freedom of speech here!

You know, when I was at 123 I thought the site giving bingo players their own email accounts was an excellent idea. That way we (players) could contact whom ever we wanted and trade jokes or whatever.

And yet before I came to BPU with my complaint, I was in chat one night and a couple of other players were wanting to comunicate with each other privately and ask each other if they had a 123 email account, which they both did, and the ch came over the top of both of them and said "this is not allowed", "you are not allowed to give out email addresses in chat".

I found this funny because if you have a 123 email account, the address is your username@123bingo.com, not hard to work out! lol

I don't see any harm and I think better still, if the sites provide email accounts for their players to comunicate with each other, all the better, cause I felt special having my own 123bingo email account. lol

Joann, the thing about those accounts is they were closely monitored. To anyone you sent mail to from that account, Icronex Technologies COULD gather those and build a database for their spam. In my opinion that is the reason they offered to pay bbs for every email you sent! Very cheap way to obtain a database.... just filter your clients private emails.

Then YOUR friends that you communicated with using your 123Bingo email account were automatically in the clutches of one of the most crooked sites on the net!! They wanted to make you feel special while all the time USING you and many of their other players as "email gatherers" to enlarge the lists for the spam they send out about their site.

Glad you got paid and glad you are out of there! You deserve better!
123Bingo and BingoKnights have earned their place on the Players blacklist.

Oh no Sissy, I was only meaning sending emails to other 123 players not outsiders. If I wanted to send emails to others outside of 123 I always used my own email address. Anyway I only ever emailed 1 123 player cause she wanted copies of all my jokes.

I think that (paying players for emails) came in shortly before or after I stopped playing there.

But yes I understand and agree with what your saying and thought the same thing as well!

Just another point that should be mentioned, the 123Bingo e-mail accts were not private, so say you said in your e-mail to a friend in her e-mail acct "this place stinks they are just using us lets move on" or "what a rip-off" all this was monitored and accts disabled for sometimes up to 72 hours. I never had an e-mail acct there but did hear one player state that when they questioned why their acct was disabled they were quoted verbatim what they had put in their e-mail to another player.

As this was just hear say and I can not actually verify this, but with the reputation that 123Bingo has my tendency is to believe what the player said.

Happy Bingoing

The 123bingo personal mails...Even if it was just for members of 123..how does anyone know how many sites 123 is affiliated with or conjoined to? How would you know where that email information was going be sent to? It wouldnt surprise me if they were waiting for someone to say something in praise of 123 so they could broadcast it as a testimonial. Most likely a small print feature of accepting the email consented to their right to own all transmissions and communications. It doesnt seem likely that a site like 123 would do anything that was without benefit to their agendas. Maybe they were monitoring to get some kind of information that refuted claims of fraud or even personal information on a player to use as a "lever" to get them to say they wre lying about 123 being a cheat site. When people that have little or no scruples get that determined, anything goes.
I mean, it is incredulous to think a management person from 123bingo would follow players to other sites or join a forum for the purpose of denying allegations in a way that is without proof and bordering on harrassment and insults, but that is their style.
The icronex people seem to be the driving force behind the manipulations and corruption, so apparently they have a stake in the profits. I am not sure who really owns the site because I have seen no website information documenting the owner(s) of 123bingo. But it is so apparent they are out to scam and cheat, I can not understand why anyone would remain there. Maybe I can...the huge bbb's they give out to enable continued play, the promises of big wins, the promotion of a sense of community and familiarity ( hence the private email program),and the personal "home" calling, which may be despised by some , but infers a personal touch.
If people would take a minute to check out sites before they become involved through chatroom interraction or doling out irretrievable money, much of the disruption and heartache would be unecessary.
This is a tricky site that will use any methods possible to further their agenda, and the unregulated state of online gaming enables them to persist with their deceptions.

LMAO There is absolutely no PRIVACY when you are online. Someone is watching somewhere you can count on it~! Especially if they think you could hurt their reputation. They don't allow you do cuss minor words such as damn or s**t( which you hear in every Bingo hall across the globe ), but yet you have to be 18 in most to play & if you ain't heard those words by then, you missed the third grade when it starts ;). I think their rules are only implemented to protect THEM NOT YOU. Hell, they sell your email addy's everyday to someone to entice you to play somewhere. HENCE, THE GR8 WORLD OF SPAM ~! But they will be damned if you try to give your own to someone you meet at the site cause they don't want you chatting it up when they can't see it. EYES R EVERYWHERE ~~~~!! :-ss

I BEEN THERE/ MISSY

Personally I don't think of anyone that I chat with online as my friend and I just would not want to give out personal info like my email address to them because of that. KNowing and talking with someone online is not the same as knowing them in person, and I think that guarding this kind of info is nothing but wise.
