Interest growing?

Have those of you here at this site witnessed a real growth in the number of people who are now participating in online bingo? I know that just recently I have had tons of friends who now say they play as it is great fun, so I did not know if you all think this is an isolated occurrence or if it is the real deal in other areas.

A lot of our local Bingo areas have shut down. So people are starting to play more online I would expect. Couple that with the simplicity of many of the sites and it is a lot easier to sit in your own lazyboy and play as opposed to playing in a hall.

Plus where I live you can still smoke and play from your chair but it is outlawed in a public hall.

Do you also think that the influx of players is because of the online gambling laws that the U.S. has set up? Is bingo not online gambling? I'm not sure of the laws in the U.S. as I'm from Canada so all I know is that most of the complaining has been coming from the poker players. I don't think I have heard any complaints by bingo players that they are no longer allowed to gamble on bingo sites.
