Obviously most of us here like the online bingo venue but are those of you who still like to play at the traditional brick and mortar bingo halls too? They seem so outdated to me but maybe they have ramped things up a bit over the years. Seems like the kind of thing my grandma would still enjoy! :-)

Personally I could never see myself visiting those seedy bingo halls. I like playing online from the comfort of home. I feel more in control of my game and it lets me try out new games without the fear of looking stupid. That's my theory anyway.

A lot of people go to the brick and mortar bingo halls not just for the bingo but for the comraderie. I have a lady who lives in my building and she goes to the bingo hall every day and if you ask her why it's because of the friends she has made there and the fun they have while they sit together and play.

Personally, I like online cause I can play in my jammies if I want and don't have to spend money on makeup and clothes just to go visit my cronies.

But what about chat games? Do you think that many could get the same kind of experience from those as thye do in the bingo halls?

I don't think that most could get the same experience online. Many of the people that I have seen that play in the traditional halls are probably afraid of the computer.

That being said as time moves forward I can see the halls slowly going out of business. The chat rooms give you the same feeling and the ease of use is even much better.

I don't know lighting up in the comforts of my home running the chat in the lower portion of the screen sure is appeasing to me.

What does everyone else think?

I think that they both have their good points and their bad points. Face to face contact while chatting is a lot easier than playing a game and typing at the same time. However, anonymity is a plus when chatting online.

The other part is that you are amongst the people when they yell bingo and you can hear the responses. It's like being at a sports game and amongst the crowd and getting the "fever" from the crowd at the same time.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
